NoWNANO student to deliver talk at Pint of Science festival
Philip Thomas for the NoWNANO DTC (2013 cohort) will be speaking as part of Pint of Science 2016 at the event "Wonder Materials: Fabrication or Fact".
Phuilip's talk, on 23rd May at the Red Lion in Withington, will introduce some of the key ideas in his research field. Philip will talk about metamaterials and their potential applications in biosensing and invisibility cloaking.
Pint of Science is a festival which aims to deliver talks on the latest science research in an accessible format in a pub. The main festival takes place annually over three days in the month of May simultaneously in pubs across the world. It was established in London in 2012 and has since expanded to pubs in various cities around the United Kingdom and the world.
