CDT student Bonnie Tsim awarded summer placement in Japan
Congratulations to second year student Bonnie Tsim who has been awarded a place on the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) Summer Program, she will travel to Japan for two months this summer to work at Osaka University.
Carried out in partnership with The Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI), the program provides a fully funded placement to pre- and post-doctoral researchers from North America and Europe, and only 18 UK nationals are accepted per year.
There is an orientation week on arrival to introduce the successful students to Japanese culture and research systems followed by two months of collaborative research activities at a host institution.
This competitive program is a great experience for personal and professional development, and it is a fantastic achievement by Bonnie to obtain a fellowship.
