CDT student awarded Ignition award
Congratulations to Yuling Zhuo, year 3 CDT student, who has been awarded an Ignition Award by the University of Manchester’s Intellectual Property office (UMIP).
UMIP have a proven track record of turning research based innovation ideas into commercial reality, in conjunction with the University of Manchester Masood Enterprise Centre (MEC), for part of her project to further develop pressure or temperature managing insoles.
Yuling would like to thank her supportive supervisor, Dr Mark Bissett, and Dr Simon Howell who teaches the Innovation and Commercialisation of Research course for CDT students in the third year. The course introduces students to methods of turning ideas from their research projects into deliverable commercial opportunities.
